Thanksgiving 2012 Holiday Hours for New York City Coffee Shops

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Many New York City coffee shops have restricted hours for the holiday weekend or are closed tomorrow. Here’s a rundown of shops that we’ve heard from.

Cafe Buunni | Pinehurst Ave | Hudson Heights

Cafe Buunni is closed for the holiday only.

Bushwick’s vegan doughnut masters Dun-Well Doughnuts will be closed Thanksgiving Day.

Both the original Grand St location of Doughnut Plant and the newer Chelsea branch are closed for the holiday. We hope doughnuts aren’t an integral part of your Thanksgiving feast.

Jackson Heights mainstay Espresso 77 will also be closed Thursday but will reopen Friday at 7:30am.

Gimme! Coffee | Lorimer St | East Williamsburg

All three Gimme! Coffee locations: Nolita, Lorimer St and Roebling St are open on Thanksgiving from 7am to 2pm.


Gasoline Alley will be closed Thursday and will reopen Friday at 9am. After that they’ll be following there usual weekend schedule.

Barclay Center neighbor Hungry Ghost will be open on Thanksgiving from 7am to 2 pm and resume regular hours on Friday.

Irving Farm’s three Manhattan locations are closed for Thanksgiving and will reopen at 8am on Friday.

Joe the Art of Coffee, Lexington Ave

Joe the Art of Coffee’s ever-expanding empire reports that the following branches will be open Thanksgiving until 2pm: Waverly St, E 13th St, W 23rd St, Grand Central Terminal, Upper East Side and Upper West Side. Joe Pro Shop and Columbia University will be closed entirely.

Morningside Heights shop Kuro Kuma‘s Thanksgiving hours: 7am – 1pm, Friday normal.

Lark Cafe | Church Ave | Ditmas Park

Kensington’s Lark Cafe is open from 7am-Noon on Thursday.

Orchard Street’s Lost Weekend NYC is closing Wednesday at 6pm. Thanksgiving hours are from 9am-3pm.

Astoria’s Queens Kickshaw, write on Twitter that they’ll be closed for the holiday but will open promptly at 9am on Friday, kitchen too.

All New York City branches of Momofuku are closing early Wednesday evening for the holiday, back with regular hours on Saturday.

Oslo Coffee, E 75th St

Oslo Coffee reports that the Roebling St branch and UES location will be closed on Thanksgiving, while the Bedford St shop will be open from 9am-2pm.

Chelsea’s Ports Coffee & Tea will be closed Thanksgiving but business as usual on Friday.

Kensington/Windsor Terrace shop Steeplechase Coffee reports that they’ll be open 8am-3pm on Thanksgiving.

Third Rail Coffee | Sullivan St | Greenwich Village

Ashley Gilbertson wrote us on Twitter to let us know that Greenwich Village’s Third Rail Coffee is open on Thanksgiving from 10am-4pm.
