One of Project Latte’s favorite purveyors of (primarily) yeast doughnuts, Bushwick’s Dun-Well Doughnuts, is finally getting some well-deserved media attention. We post our review of this shop, serving vegan doughnuts and providing much-needed cafe space and wifi to the neighborhood growing up around the Montrose Ave L station.
We’ve just posted our review of Australian-run Culture Espresso Bar, where elegant wallpaper and chandeliers provide a backdrop for patrons to enjoy some of the best coffee in Midtown Manhattan.
Next Friday, August 3rd, 2012, from 8:30pm-11:30pm, Ithaca, NY coffee roasters Gimme! Coffee will be celebrating the one year anniversary of their third New York City cafe, the Roebling St, Williamsburg branch.
According to their Facebook event page, there will be coffee, snacks, live music and the opportunity to bring your own booze. We’re interested to see how they’re going to fit all this in the space.
There will also be an art auction to raise money for a Brooklyn charity, and they’re actively seeking Brooklyn artists to donate work.continue reading
We just put up our review of the original 2nd Ave location of The Bean, which they built after a Starbucks took over their original space in the East Village. It opens early, closes late, and has everything necessary for laptop workers except for good coffee.
One of our favorite spots, Morton Street’s Bosie Tea Parlor is throwing a midsummer party on July 19th, 2012. According to their Facebook Page, there will be tea sandwiches and macarons available for free, while drinks including beer, wine and a new line-up of tea cocktails can be purchased at the cash bar.continue reading
