Why won’t you make me an iced latte?!

Apparently while in San Francisco for the Apple Worldwide Developer Conference, respected tech journalist Dan Frommer got the cold shoulder from specialty coffee when trying to order iced lattes.

Note to fancy cafés: If you have espresso, milk, and ice, but refuse to make me an iced latté, you’re a jerk. I get the whole “do one thing and do it well” idea. And if you’re trying to push your cold-brewed iced coffee, that’s wonderful for you. But some people don’t like iced coffee. Why be an ass about it?

We like this little shop on far west 47th St, Je & Jo Comestibles, which churns out daily cookie dough ice cream specials and does a pretty good job with Cafe Grumpy espresso.
